About Us
About Koi Hut and the Team
Koi Hut opened in 2016 and has since become well respected in the local fish keeping community. We boast a wealth of knowledge in keeping Koi and collectively have at least ninety years of experience in fish keeping to draw on.
A dedicated Koi Health Specialist is available on request and, for a nominal charge, will visit your pond to offer advice and provide the most up to date treatments for your fish and their habitat.
We have a well stocked dry goods shop and two fish rooms housing twenty seven holding tanks. In addition to this, we also have quarantine facilities housed separately from those of the main shop. You can follow the Koi Hut through our Facebook page.
We also offer a bespoke pond building service, tailored to your own specifications. Our in-house pond build expert, Steve, will be happy to give you a quote. See our Pond Builds page for more information.
The Koi Hut is located at the bottom end of New Lane, Havant, and is situated alongside the Railway Gates leading into Havant Town. The town centre is a 10 minute walk away and is 5 minutes from Havant town Station. Our main entrance is to the left of aforementioned Railway Gates.

Peter Watson
Koi Health Consultant
Peter is our Koi health specialist and is extremely knowledgeable about Koi and fish keeping in general. In his professional capacity, Peter will come and visit your pond and consult on the health and best conditions for your Koi. He will also diagnose illness and prescribe courses of action and treatment.
Gary Harris
Shop Manager
Gary started as an apprentice and has been with us since 2016. He now runs the day to day operations of Koi Hut as the de facto shop manager. Gary has since accumulated a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to discuss all things related to Koi.
Steve Walkling
POND BUILDER
Steve is our in-house pond builder. He creates beautiful bespoke ponds tailored to the customers requests and specifications.

He also deals with installing new filters and pipework maintenance. When he isn’t on a pond building job, Steve can be found at The Koi Hut.
Jack Hewitt
Shop Assistant
Jack is the newest addition to the Koi Hut team. He has a passion for all things fish, especially keeping stingrays and more exotic freshwater tropical species.
He can he found in Koi Hut’s brand new tropical fish room and will be happy to help with any questions you may have.
Dan Watson
It & Support
Dan is in charge of the website and Internet sales. He is usually in the back office at Koi Hut but will be happy to help out customers when needed.
